9. Hang on, did that chapter just change?

Yup, it probably did. This is a work in progress, and writers edit all of the time if an improvement can be made, or we didn't think of something earlier, or new information comes to light. You may finds whole chunks of story missing that were there before, simply because they don't apply any more or I used too many relative clauses or something. And, while I have a vague idea of what I'm doing, I'm also not writing the chapters in order, so if a chapter written later renders an earlier one redundant, I'm going to nix the redundancy. Or, if new BC chapters coming to light change canon circumstances, I will rewrite to fit those.

If I dropped your favourite tale, I apologise, but hopefully the end result will be stronger.

Also, I used to have a bunch of stand-alone stories. Now, they're a novella, each reliant on the rest.

10. Who the hell are you, anyway?

Well, that depends on who you ask. My kids call me "mum." My ex husband thinks I really suck. My wonderful friends think I'm really amazing and I love them very much because they tell me this on a regular basis. And I won't dive into existentialism, because the stories are really the furthest anyone wants to delve into my brain, people, really. ;-)

But, the mini factoid: I'm Australian, straight, female and a natural redhead, sometimes. I also work in the arts industry. Reno is not my life, although I've been dreaming a lot about him lately, for some strange reason. And I'm pedantic. Besides FF, I play The Sims 2 (You can read some of my stories here) and have played in the BG, AoW and M&M universes. I also spend a lot of time doing other stuff. Interests include horse-riding, western martial arts (medieval sword), history and movies. And my AFL team likes to lose. A lot.

This site first put was up, in another form and another name, in early-mid 2005/6. I have taken that one down, now, and restarted with this one. Gradually, it will all be back online.

11. So why did you throw a tantrum and leave?

Actually, there were no tantrums, from me or anyone else. My previous story site was a dot com with a message board attached, and a couple of fans got out of hand arguing over a (to me) minor story point, but I just banned them and that was that. However, the host of the forum--EZBoard--was hacked, meaning most of the posts disappeared, and around the same time BC came out, and the Real World intruded, so I let the dot com expire and took the stories down, planning to update them later. It seriously didn't occur to me that anyone would be bothered by it--there's a lot of Reno fic out there, good and bad, some a lot better than mine.

Anyway, it turns out "later" has been much later, mostly because I've had RL writing to do and varying other projects on the go. I just hope I haven't lost all of my readers because of it. :)

12. I love your stories! Can I post this on my site?

First, thankyou. Second, I'd rather you didn't; read my entire policy here. While I guess I can't stop you, I did put a lot of work into the stories and site, and the copyright on the bits that don't already belong to Square Enix is mine. My license, in so far as I have the rights to make one, is already pretty generous, and the reason writers write is for fame and fortune, didn't you know that? ;-)
