13. I love your stories! Can I send you money for bandwidth cost or something?

First, thankyou. Second, please don't. While I write for a living (if you can call it a living), Reno fanfic is my hobby and I don't expect payment for it. Even if I did, I wouldn't be entitled to it unless by some weird coincidence SE likes my writing so much they want to contract me to write English language FF novellas (hint, hint SE... comment on site should reach my email addy :)). My site doesn't cost much per annum to run (actually while I'm at blogger, the cost is $0), so unless I have some serious bandwidth issues, I don't need the help. And if I have some serious bandwidth issues, I will ask. But, thanks for the offer anyway. (Note, this Q/A is only out here because of the stupidity regarding Sims 2 custom packages and paysites).

Edit: Nah, only kidding. Send me all the money you like. I have childruns to feed. *big grin*

15. Is it ShinRa, Shinra or Shin-Ra?

Ok, it's written all three ways by SE. They are notorious for being inconsistent with their English translations (Veld/Verdot; Asul/Azul; Aerith/Aeris; Sears/Shears etc). They also have notorious plot holes (in FFVII, Vincent is shot by Gast, in DC, it's Hojo), but I digress. I have written the surname as Shinra, and the organisation as Shin-Ra. The reason for this is: this. This appears in the Shin-Ra building in DC and is also on the wall of Rufus' Shinra's rooms in Healin Lodge in AC, although the hyphen is harder to see.

The reason I've kept to "Shinra" for the surname, however, is because of Nomura's statement in the Ultimania that the Shinra family are descendants of Shinra, the kid from FFX-2 (also intimated within that game).
